A Reagan volunteer in 1976, Gerry worked in D.C. during the 1980s as Deputy Creative Director at Odell, Roper & Associates, writing direct mail for Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and clients in two dozen states. In 1993 Gerry pioneered the use of computer morphing in political campaigns, and in ‘94 used it to help the NRCC win a seat they had not held since the Civil War. Gerry served as Political Director of John McCain’s New York State campaign in 2000. He got McCain on the entire statewide ballot against impossible odds -- for 10% of what it cost other candidates.

Gerry O’Brien has done it all.

From running for the N.Y. City Council in 1977 at age 18, innovating computer graphics that changed national politics in 1994, to his work for John McCain in 2000, Gerry has set the pace for creative professionals in political advertising.

Along the way, he worked as Deputy Creative Director of a D.C. agency, with political and business clients across two countries.

As a candidate, Gerry won his first Primary in 1982 for a State Committee seat in Brooklyn.

Primary Elections have become his specialty: His GOP direct mail clients remain unbeaten for the past 16 years of Primaries.

His Democratic clients have included Congressman Ed Towns, various judicial candidates, and labor leaders like Joe McManus.

In recent years, he has become a sought-after website designer.

His website for the Academy of Trial Lawyers has won him many new clients in the field of law.

And his groundbreaking work for State Senator Marty Golden has shown NY Republicans how to compete -- and win -- with style.

Gerry has always maintained that the key to his success has been synergy: he writes, photographs and designs all his own projects.

And he believes creativity beats throwing money at a problem.
